A Full-Service-Firm Ready To Solve Your Problems

How can I create curb appeal for my home?

Many homes sell mainly because they have good curb appeal. People are visual creatures, and they respond well to things that look nice.

According to the National Association of Realtors, you can draw in more potential buyers, increase your chances of getting a buyer more quickly and even ask a higher price for your home if it has nice curb appeal. You have many options for increasing your home’s curb appeal.

Plant a garden

Flowers and flowering bushes can do a lot for the exterior look of your home. The pops of color brighten everyone’s day. They add some character and happiness. You don’t have to go overboard. Just plant a couple of beds beside the front door or create a focal point with a flower bed around your flag pole.

Spiff up your driveway

If you have a paved driveway, then make sure it is in good shape. Repave if needed or patch holes to ensure it is smooth and looks good. If you have a gravel driveway, consider getting additional gravel. You should ensure there are not spots with missing gravel or potholes. You want a smooth drive because this is the first real taste of the property a potential buyer gets.

Keep it clean

Above all else, make sure the outside area of your home is clean and tidy. If you cannot do anything else, then at least clean up. Remove debris, junk and trash. Touch up paint where needed. Rake leaves or shovel snow as needed. Make sure to cut your grass and trim the bushes. Just making your home’s exterior look neat can do a lot for the curb appeal.
